June is a wonderful wife....Mike is blessed.
Mike made me a cue once....everything I wanted and on time.
He called me later and said he really liked the design and asked to use it...
...which I readily agreed.
When Mike starts building cues again, I'm going to order another one....
....just because he can build cues again.
And here's some more from June.
"Update: We are into our 2nd week at home. Mike is improving daily. By that I mean getting stronger and back to his old self. Very independent, no complaining; doesn't want me to "wait on him" as he chooses to do things for himself, etc. Missing his shop and I'm missing all the whistling, however, that will come down the road. We have six "helpers" twice a week; 2 nurses, 2 occup. and 2 phys. therapists. Have to do a LOT of planning around Dr. follow-ups around all of that. He went on his first "outing" Saturday for a couple of hours. I was a bundle of nerves until he returned home. -Saw several friends and enjoyed being outside the home. Will see eye specialist today after all therapies. I suspect there will be another surgery but will see later today. Looks like left lens is too far in the corner of his eye. Leg is healing good and trach opening is quickly closing. I change both bandages each morning. He's anxious to get prosthesis, but only in time. Expect them to come measure in a couple of weeks. He'll def. have to be admitted back into rehab for at least 10 days to learn how to walk on it. He's not looking forward to that tho. That is a "must". Still rather quiet, hardly ever starting a conversation ; reality has set in!! - Things will turn around, in time. It's time for me to Thank all of you for your Prayers, Food, jobs around the house, sitting with him during hospital stay, bringing him treats, detailing our cars, etc. Too many to name, but you know who you are. We haven't and won't forget. Still a journey ahead, so please remember him in your prayers. - Til later"
