Mike Sigel on Billiardsdigest.com now

Well, that was awesome, he was fast an answered a lot of questions, he types almost as good as he talks:D

Got all my questions answered, and he said the tour will stop in Atlantic City so that sounds really cool!

Chat with Mike Sigel

Thanks for the heads-up....It was interesting to see what his answers to the many questions were.....He seems very excited about the IPT and the future of pool....He said Kevin Trudeau has committed $15 million dollars and doesn't care if he loses money in the first 5 years....

I just don't see it

I would love for this to work...but the reality is that Trudeau is of a questionable background. This is the FTC's thoughts...befor the flaming starts please read this.

The math just doesn't work for me. 15Meg....nah can't see it.
The Physics doesn't work for me. A top flight man losing to LJJ.
The reality is that LLJ has no chance... so why throw out $225K

A lot of people believed in the products. Since Trudeau himself was just the backer and not a doctor touting it, I'd say he got a bum rap. He might have been just another one that believed in it, and believed enough to put money behind it. I seem to have read somewhere that he sold off some of his assets and settled the claims against him. I'm not saying he didn't get richer off the situation, but that's the name of the game. Pool isn't a snake oil cure, there's real product there, so I say give it, and him, a chance. I sure don't hear anyone else talking about pumping millions into the game.

If it was a typo, it was Mike Sigel's typo; he did say $15 million has been committed.....All you pessimists, doubters, naysayers, if you really care to get some answers from the "horse's mouth", Kevin Trudeau will be on-line tomorrow at Billiards Digest in a chat room forum in the same way that Mike Sigel was on tonight...........ASK AWAY................

I have read lots about him and others as well, and honestly I could care less what the FTC, FDA, etc.. etc.. have to say about Kevin, I don't totally trust them either. Did he make questionable business decisions in the past, maybe, but so does the FTC, and so does all of our friendly world wide corporations, do we stop buying their goods? or question what they do or say.....not really. And let me tell you some well known companies have done things that would make what Kevin may have done look like Child's play:D and we still trust them and do business with them everyday.

Plus I would put more faith in this adventure of his than anything else he has done in the past, and the past is well past:D. He has a real passion for the game and less of a financial interest, because he will continue to make money on his other business ventures. Sure he hopes to make money at some point, anything worth doing is worth doing for money and I honestly believe at one point he will not only break even on this, but make money, could take years though.

If I had that kind of money available, I too would do many things others would question as crazy, but hey it's all about doing what you love....God Bless him.

Nick

No, not "period."

Just because someone has been convicted by a political institution of a "crime" doesn't make them objectively guilty of anything.

I don't really know if he is guilty of an actual crime against another person, but being found guilty in today's crime/prison industry doesn't tell us much anymore and shouldn't be a conclusive factor when judging someone's integrity....it's sad, but true, that this is the state of things. :(

Wait and see...then hang 'em. :D

I'm not a naysayer, btw, it's just that I hadn't heard that amount quoted. That's some good chunk of cash.

Did anyone ask Mike how we out here in the field, so to speak, can help this endeavor?

i hope they aren't trying to appeal to the REAL POOLPLAYERS out there to subscribe.......if we won't pay 1.50 for a soda in a poolhall........i doubt they are going to shell out 29.95 or whatever it is for the pay-per-view.

I just don't see how this tour can survive more than a couple of years at most....even with this guy pumping millions into it. Not that many people are enthused about pool compared to the American population in general. And playing on slow crappy cloth with no jump cues? Geez...why don't we all just be forced to use house cues and play off the wall...or have to play one handed. The game has progressed...I think some people just don't want to accept that change and progression. Why must a whole new tour form, why not just pump the money into the UPA and go from there?

Ok, so reading Mike's transcript today makes me really excited. We have been waiting for so long. Is this going to be it? Who knows. So what I would like to know is who from this forum is going to this thing. I live in southern California and am in driving distance to Las Vegas to where I can go on a whim (which is what this would be). After Mike's chat last night I am thinking I really want to go and see for myself what is going on. I called the info line for ticket availability and I had to leave a message. Who is going from this forum? Please post and let me know. I am trying to make a decision as I would call in sick to work for Friday and leave here tonight, and then it is still a 5 hour drive. (Never want to drive to Vegas from California on a Friday) :) One of my other friends told me there might not be any tickets left she heard. Hmmm... Did I also hear you can't buy them at the door? I am not sure about that. Anyone know?
