well, Mike Sigel went 7-0 in the round-robin, and then won his first round-of-32 match before going 2 and out. He let danny harriman come back from 80 balls down and I think it really got into his head because his losers bracket match was nothing special. After both matches he royally *****ed about how lucky his opponents were and how unlucky he was. He then continued to complain about "having to play perfect" just to win anything anymore (presumeably since the equipment has gotten quicker).
Sigel is a great player, no doubt, but he conducts himself in a manner that is detrimental to the image of pool. Basically a big baby with sour grapes. I was thoroughly unimpressed with his antics regardless of his sometimes brilliant play at the event.
Someone mentioned Max Eberle in this thread. He is the only undefeated player. He ran 114 against ortmann yesterday. His game is very impressive and his professional conduct is extremely refreshing after witnessing Sigel this week.
