Mike the Mouth v/s Women

~ three years ago Allison played Grady some 9 ball exhibition. Grady won, and in most of the races to 7 the score was 7-4, 7-5, 7-6 etc. Grady won, and Grady is way way over his prime. Please explain this! But Grady did say that anyone who underestimated Allison would be a fool.

Allison told a serious girl player on my APA 8 ball team that the men were better than the women because the men had better eye hand coordination. Please explain this!

In Frederick, Md in the IPT trials a few weeks back a player flew in all the way from California to play. They said he was Phillipino or something, but he ran 8 racks of 8 ball in a row and the only reason he didn't run the 9th rack was because he didn't make a ball on the break. No woman will ever do that. Let's face it - the men have a HUGE advantage because of the breaking ability they have (just like Mike the Mouth said). And if you want to bet against that, you are just plain freaking STUPID.

Has it ever occurred to you that you have mouthed off so much on this subject that you YOURSELF are starting to sound like Mike Sigel?

Soooo I'm guessing that you feel that breaking big and running out is better than letting your opponent "get his trash off the table" first? :D

IMO, Mike Seigal would destroy Allison of Karen. He breaks the balls so much better that either one of them. I think he wins the safety battles and he is gonna run ball every bit as good if not better than them. Nothing against the two ladies (I have never seen Karen play in person), I think if Allison had a stronger break, she would give alot of the men problems.

The Allison Grady exhibition tour was in early 1998 when Allison was playing nine ball 3 years. Grady was not so far out of his prime and Allison was not near hers but she won about 40% of the time. If there was another match 3 years ago i missed it. Allison's break will get lots better- I actually saw her breaking real hard 2 years ago but i have yet to see her do it again, I know she has it in her to beat most of the field (51%) this year.

I was there, Whitewolf, at Champion's in Frederick, MD that weekend at the IPT qualifier. The player you are referring to is Luat. He has just flew in from Vegas, though, not California. He did run a 6-pack, not an 8-pack, during the match for the actual qualifier itself, the second one. The first place was already won by a player named David Sansion. Luat was playing my friend, 22-year-old Brandon Shuff from Virginia. I was really pulling for Brandon to beat him, as he had played so well at the qualifier. However, it wasn't in the cards when Luat ran out like a bandit and snatched that second-qualifier win. There's something about those Filipino players. The longer amount of time they shoot, their game seems to get better as each hour ticks by. :)

That's my story, and I'm sticking with it! :p

Oh, BTW, here's Luat at the IPT qualifier in Frederick. He had just flown in from Vegas and was, by his own admission, one tired pup! Here he is in this shot, studying the IPT paperwork, required by all competitors! I was shocked to learn that Rudolfo Luat is in his forties. He's in great shape and looks a lot younger than his years!
