Whats the problem with the ones that float?
I made my own tip press contraption that would compensate for the dome.

The shape it has is Dime Shape, so when it was pressed, the tip dome has even pressure applied.
Am I missing something ? The pic looks like the tips won't sit right on the ferrule.
Ive read about milk duds for years on here. How do they hit, soft, medium, hard?
How do they compare to the Kamui Black line? Equal? Better? Worse?
Thanks!

yes, you are not understanding what it is. the thing in the picture is not the tip, but a dime shaped pressing jig. It has a dime shaped recess, so that it applies even pressure to the tip when pressed.
The elk masters, lepro, and triangle tips come preshaped, when they are pressed on a flat surface, the dome center gets pressed first, then the sides. Using that method, the center has a greater density than the sides.
Using this dome shape, you are retaining the dime shape and density of the original elkmaster/lepro/triangle tip.

Heath-
I contacted pooldawg last night and am paying him for 4 of them this morning. If they arrive by Saturday, I'll give you one at SBE this weekend. If not, I'll just mail it to you next week.
Thanks man, beer for you at the expo!
Hey just hook up with Jeff (pooldawg8) at the Expo. I know he will be there.
Floaters are porous and less dense, they are ok after soaking and pressing and turn into sinkers.
