Yeah none at all. I think whatever amount of qualifiers there are-Take that number and add 6 and that's your field. It's a tough sell under the current economy. I hope Im wrong.

I'll go as a spectator if they have more than 40 players and most are champions.

This is a list of "interested" players; however, they do show 6 players as already paid.

I don't know that there is going to be much of a turn out, but we all know pool players and deadlines...it's always last minute. Who knows, maybe it'll be a decent sized event.

I have nine players for the qualifier and am trying for the other seven. The word is out in my area. I want this to work for all of us.

Bravo to you, BigDogatLarge. I hope you have a good turnout. The lucky winner is going to at least get a chance to win a chunk of cheese.

Allen Hopkins' events are always first class!

I read on another thread that some of the "European" players (even though many of them live in the United States and not Europe), will be competing in a European organization tournament being held the same dates as Allen Hopkins' million-dollar tournament. No Thorstens, et cetera, at least that's what the AzBilliards grapevine is saying! :p

Dates actually clash with the official 2008 European Championships which are being held in Willingen Germany.

Not aware of a single qualifying event having actually taken place in Uk. Know that one or two were provisionally scheduled and cancelled through apparent lack of interest there. Think there might have been one or two qualifiers held on mainland Europe.

This European date clash aspect was discussed a couple of weeks ago on one of the threads in the dedicated "million dollar" section of azb forums.

You would think they could alphabetize the list, so you could actually
find a name.

What's the point of an interested list? Almost everyone would be on that list if they could find a sponsor. Maybe it is for potential sponsors to pick a player.

Thanks JAM
