Mini Lathe 7 x 10

Definitely a scam. A new seller, selling expensive items with cheap buy it nows, he wont ship anything and take the money and run. You will get your money back thru Pay-pal/Ebay but it will take a couple weeks.
 
funny that all his feedback is buyer feedback, yet supposedly he's sold 24 of these........hmmm... Guess they're all still waiting for it to come in the mail:smile:
 
They are giving free shipping for something this heavy selling for $89 and being shipped from Canada. Gotta' be a scam.

Yeah I saw all that. He's been on there for 6 years but hasn't done anything in quite a while, only FB from buying, dupe FBs, free ship for something that heavy, all the machines sold were today, etc...

The plus side is that Paypal will reimburse if its a Rip-Off

I figured it was probably BS but I bought one anyway. :)

The worst possible thing that could happen is that I'll lose the money that would buy me and the Mrs. one dinner at Outback.

That Plasma cutter he is selling in his other auctions for $119 sells for $1400 new on Amazon and $950 on Ebay, so that is a scam, all of his auctions are scams. The way these scams work is someone gained access to that users password and took over their account probably with a fake email, changed the Pay-Pal address to another made up one he uses, then collects all the money he can in a short time period, then withdraws it and then disappears.
All of his auctions were just listed today, he has never sold anything on Ebay, I bet they willl all be canceled soon too. He is up to over $3200 on just the lathe auction already.

It will take close to a month to get your money back as you have to wait 10 days until you can turn a dispute to a claim with Pay-Pal, then they will have to investigate it for another 10 days.

If you bought one and have a completed transaction with that seller, request his user info and you can call him with the phone number he has listed with them, I bet it will be disconnected or fake though.

Stuff like this is why the ebay fees are so high, and why we have to pay paypal fees. I know paypal makes a lot of money, but im sure they pass the losses from these scams right back on to the rest of us who actually earn and appreciate our money and the things we buy with it. I say shoot the mofos.

I see all of the auctions were canceled and they are no longer a registered user. They sure racked in over 20K fast though, too bad Ebay is so slow to do anything about them.

I doubt they got any cash out though. I know when I xfer money it takes a couple business days before it gets to my account. They started on Friday so its only really been 1 day. Transferring 10K or more I am sure raises a big flag. Even if it was in transit I am sure Paypal put a stop to it. Wonder if they'll credit my acct. or make me got through the whole filling a report thing?

Oh, thanks for the link. I called the # and left a message but most likely it wasn't the acct. holder's #. I filed as report that night but who knows where if anywhere that went.

Thats the first time I got scammed. Surprising since I've been on Ebay over 13 years and I take chances on stuff occasionally. About 2 years ago I bought a silver platter I thought was mislabeled, crappy picture, etc.. I paid something like $50 for it. When I got it the platter was around 3 foot long made of solid Sterling Silver by either Stieff or Gorham... can't remember. I cleaned it up and it was nice. Its been a while but I think I got $1,200. for it. So you never know.... but I should have known better on that lathe.

Oh well, live and learn. Hopefully nobody else here tried to buy one.
 
could some one recomend a lathe for me ,i wanna be able to do my tips.... and basic stuff..I see them on ebay for 400 - 500 dont know what else i would need
