Minneapolis pool room?

I was sure I read on the front page a couple of months ago about a new poolroom being opened in downtown Minneapolis recently, by Mika Immomen and some others. Does anyone here know if it happened? It was supposed to be open late last month, accruing to the article. Any info would be appreciated. :thumbup:

It has not been opened and from what im hearing locally it may never. I hope its not true though I was really looking forward to a new place to play.
 
Normally I go to shooters if I go anywhere. But anymore there is so little going on even that seems like a waste. The pool scene had died down so much here locally that im almost thinking I should give it up. The room owners that are left dont seem to care about promoting pool or just are oblivious to the fact they need to. Its a sad state of affairs here in the TC.
 
Pool Hall

I like CR Billiards in Coon Rapids, the owner Jerry Johnson always has something going on. Food and drink are both good, employees friendly and players to match up with, my kind of establishment.
The downtown Mika pool hall had a lot of hurdles with location and city also backers trying to put together without top quality playing equipment. Last I heard project seems unlikely to fly.
