Miranda Cues?

Has anyone ever heard of Miranda Custom Cues? There is one on ebay right now that ends tonight. It has a ton of ivory and the predominant wood is amboyna burl. The starting bid is only $599! It has to be worth more than that right?

I have seen them also, some are gaudy others are very nice, but i dont know about playability, you dont want a clink-clank cue.:D I am curious also as to if anyone owns one and has some thoughts.

Bump to the top.

I have seen a few also on ebay. Anyone actually played with one? Are the solid or Junk? They look real not like some of the other fakey decal stuff on ebay. :(

Ivory from outside the USA? Customs and any import issues here?

Aren't they from the Phillipines? I've got a Filipino cue
that looks good at 1st glance but is the worse cue I've
ever owned.

Miranda is from philippine. Good built. Most of the designs are taken from McWorter cue. I bought one, and sold it an hour later after a few shots. Not happy with the shafts, both have slight warp. The joint was suppose to be flat but there were slight concave in them, causing the cue to lose some power in it and sound slightly funny. Good to look at but not a player cue.

If you want a philippine cue i would recommend viattorre. They got a web site. Look for Jackson to discuss about the cue. Its a few month waiting list.
