Miscue with Taom v10 chalk

Dr Dave did a test of a few different chalks. One was the Taom. And as I recall there was no difference in the tip position and miscue between the various chalks. In my personal experience, and I've been using Taom exclusively for about 2 years, never noticed any issue with miscues.

I think Bob’s point earlier was a good one. Dr Dave’s tests use meticulously chalked cues. It is possible that people either chalk differently with V10 or that it is more prone to miscues if you don’t chalk properly. I used V10 for a year and green Pagulayan for a year and didn’t notice any issues, however. I mean I do miscue but I’m pretty sure it’s no worse than any other chalk and I’m sure 95% of them at least are down to a bad stroke.

It is also possible that it may make the tip glaze more. I do think this may be true - I’ve had to use my Kamui gator to slightly rough up the tip a bit more than before.

Overall I think the occasional bit of tip maintenance and good chalking practice is worth the cleaner CB and table.
