Misinformed seller

He says it's very rare and 1 of only 5. Erik Lee has them. They are not rare. They are 1 of 12 like all other Schon LTD. He also has the model # wrong.

i dont know where you see it saying its only 1 of 5... he says its 5 years old and it is one of only a handfull.. unless he revised the auction?

Cosmo had one of those about a year ago.. brand new i think he was trying to sell it for about $850 or so.. funny thing is that guy is only like 2 hours or so away from me and Cosmo so it could possibly be the same cue..

i dont know about it being 5 years old though..

He told me that Evan Clark said it was 1 of 5 in an email.

I'm just going on what the man thet made them said...If Evan Clark said 1 of 5 thats good enough for me...But thanks for your input....Guy

I'm not saying the guy's a crook or anything. He's just misrepresenting the cue.

Regarding Schon LTD Lines

The seller may actually be right. What I have come to find out is that even though the cue is designated as a LTD line that doesn't mean all 12 are ever built. Not only that, but for the cues that are actually built for a given line the feature woods may not be all the same in each cue. So, it is actually possible for a LTD line cue to have only 10 made and the feature wood may be ebony in 5 and cocobolo in 5. Then when you inquire to Evan he tells you that the cue is 1 of 5. I've already been there and done that and received the explanation.

So, unless you can actually track down 11 more copies you shouldn't be too hard on the guy.

yes.. i see the 1 of 5 in the title.. i didnt see that before.. thanx..

anwyays.. i was going to say what Duane said... when i had my ltd, from what i understand.. that at MOST there could be 12.. sometimes only 10 or even less or more.. just never more then 12...

and also like he said.. there could be different versions.. like a cue a freind of mine who is a dealer had that was an elite.. the one he had was ebony.. and there was also 5 others that were all completley different forearm and butt section woods.. which technically would make it 1 of a kind.. except for the design.. which there were 6...

Yeah, I've read a lot of what you said on the Internet since I made the original post. There is another model that has solid ebony but cap. There are others I'm sure with different woods, etc. Anyway. It's all good. He's obviously a good ebayer by looking at his feedback.

I know the seller well. His name is Guy. He deals with Scot Sherbine a lot (lives near him) in Pennsylvania. He's kind of a dealer/re-seller and he's an honest person to buy from. I've probably bought six or seven cues from him - he comes up with some real winners.

As I said, I'm sure he's an excellent ebayer. I wasn't bashing him. I just had a problem with the "1 of 5" claim.
