Mississippi 9-ball is a very good practice drill for position and speed. It's a lot harder than it looks. If someone would be kind enough to put the table set-up on for me. I use to have it but can't seem to find it now. Thank you. Johnnyt
The rules I used were Start with ball in hand. Miss a ball=start over. Knock a ball off its spot= start over. I'd like to see one of you guys with a table and camera at home run it to show how its done. Johnnyt
Neat drill. For another variation among many I could see putting the 6,7,8 and 9 in the spots taken by the 2,3,4,5. Then put the 2,3,4 and 5 where the 6-9 are on the original layout.
I never gave a thought about trying the balls in other spots, but I guess it would be hard also.
I did have two pro's come over to the table I was practicing it on one day. I won't name them, but one is in the hall of fame and the other is well known also.
One guy tried it once and miissed the 5 and quit. I believe he was loking for a bet. The other did it on his third try. Johnnyt
