Mitchell Pool Tables - Any Insight?

Hey forum. I am looking at a pool table made by Mitchell https://www.mitchellebd.com/. There is very little information about them online.

Their tables are among the most beautiful I have ever seen, but I’d like to know if anyone has experience or has played on one and can speak to their play quality? Do the tables play as well as they look?

Yes, I am aware of their MSRP...

Well they certainly are very innovative in design. I see that they are made here in Fl. Just a word of caution, there is a firm down here in SW Florida that makes outdoor and indoor tables- based in Naples here- I have been to the factory. The tables look great too- however, I played on one of their tables installed in the Ritz Carlton golf resort and the table specs in terms of playability were way off- the rails were very irregular in response and the pockets were way off in terms of acceptable competitive specifications for pocket billiards.

I think that, before investing your money, you need to actually play on a model that you would select for yourself; unless of course the table is simply a recreational and social item- then someone would not know the difference anyhow and just care that the table matched their home decor- which is what it seems Mitchell can do better than anyone I have ever seen from the website photos.

Interior decorators would love them - Tables like these are designed for looks and not for playability, and my guess is they are on the $ pricey side. For a homeowner that chooses a table like this, I’m sure they’ll play well enough to suit them perfectly fine. For a discriminating pool player used to playing on a Diamond or Gold Crown, my guess is not so much.

I appreciate everyone’s opinions. I learned about Mitchell pool tables after speaking with my local mechanic who moved my old Olhausen. He had moved a few Mitchells and knew a lot about the company’s reputation. He spoke very highly of their quality and craftsmanship.

This afternoon, I finally had the chance to play on a Mitchell. I must say, I was beyond impressed. It exceeded my expectations for playability and was as good or better than any table I’ve played on before.

Rock solid feel with accurate, responsive and predictable performance.

Will post pics once our “Miami” is ready!!!

That's surprising. I've played on a few very fancy high end tables that were not up to par. They looked great and played like a cheap furniture table. If Mitchell has taken the time to build good rails, cushions and pockets into the table I would also be impressed.
