For what it is worth....We just finished our Fall 2014 session (14 weeks) and tracked the length of our games (all were played to 125 points). Of the 105 game times reported, the avg time from start to finish was 124 minutes. This season we emphasized pace of play. In the past we have had games run in excess of 4 hours at times.

I think i am going to add this onto my scoresheets for next season.

Starting Time =

Finish Time =

time has not been an issue so far, but just for curiosity sake i would like to know. just in case a problem does arrise i will have the proof.

maybe i should set a time clock for the players to punch in and out....LOL

The straight pool deluxe app I have been using tracks time per inning, time per game.

A lot of my games are between an hour and a half and an hour and 45 minutes.

My avg time per shot is between 18s and 25s.

The worst time per shot this session was an opponent who took 34s on average.

The longest game to 125 was against Rich 93. I was 25s per shot. He was 31s per shot. This match contained runs of 25 (me), 30( Rich) and 35(Rich) The match itself took 2 hours and 41 minutes and he beat me 125 to 94. It included an intentional 3rd foul by me towards the end.

I imagine the league totals for Red Shoes are higher than my averages, since I think I am definitely one of the fastest players. That's cuz I don't waste too much time thinking or lining up my shots.

I do like the Straight Pool Deluxe app also. I thought at one time Billiards Buddy app was going to get a clock feature also. Reason we went to tracking time was that it was felt that some players used to use slow play as a way of "wearing down" there opponent. It resulted in extremely long games.
