So I can't find blue book info on Mobleys for some reason (I do have a subscription). Some guy on facebook is trying to sell a wrapless, single shaft, butterfly Mobley for $1500 Maple, Coco and Ebony. This price seems wayyyy out of the ball park compared to four pointers or other designs. Thoughts? I'll grap pics in a minute.

Without pics and stuff it's hard to determine exact value but, in general,
yes Mobley's are priced quite a bit higher then the average cue.

It all depends on the year made as well... Earlier examples don't fetch as much.

I misremebered. Its purple heart and ebony.

Based on that pic, the shaft looks well used.

If it's straight, original and full size shaft, then $1500 doesn't seem to far off.

That would be an older example of a Mobley. A newer mobley made within the last 3-4 years would be way more expensive. $1500 can only get you his new break cue these days.

If the cue is new or newer it's got to be worth $1100
If the cue is old or older it won't be worth $1100

I'm surprised there isn't some kind of Keith Josey reference in your advice.

For instance:

The old Randy Mobley cues don't fetch much in the secondary market, so call Keith Josey

Something like that
