I read a thread a while back about tung oil being bad for using as a finish on cues, but I saw some modified tung oil that's supposed to be great. Anyone tried it? Any pros or cons to it? Thanks.

It depends on what you are using it for and what you expect to get. It actually is not bad for shafts, but it will give them that "wet" wood look. It will seal a finished shaft. Not to be used as a finish.
