Molavia Tip Review

I prefer Moori's overall. I tried Hercules Mediums, but have had bad luck with them. In at least 7 out of 10 tries (and I have given up on them now), one individual layer of the tip will mushroom when all of the others stay in place. It almost looks like they put a layer of suede in the middle of the other layers. Can a poor installer make a tip go bad like this, or is it simply the tip is bad?
 
As there are some tip enthusiasts reading this thread, I have a question...

I put a Mosashi (cow leather) tip on my cue yesterday. It's a japanese tip and sold for about US$12. Of course they claim it is better than Moori.

Looks like a single piece of leather but the girl told me it was a few layers from soft to hard. Anyway, the grip is good, holds the chalk well.

I just wanted to try something new as I had to replace a what I was told was a Taiwan LePro layered tip. It just wouldn't hold chalk easily so I was getting miscues when I had to hit very low.

So, anyone heard of the Mosashi tips?
 
I don't know what I am doing different, but my last cue had Moori M on it and I did not expereince glazing or mushrooming....in fact, I could shoot a whole rack without chalking after the initial chalk if I wanted to. Never had a miscue with them either.

Could it be that I live in a wet part of the country, and I swear by Silver Cup chalk, as it tends to stay on the tip better in more humid conditions? And yes, I use english...from slight to severe...so why are my results so much different?

I switched from my current tips to Molavia for a period of time 'cause I too like the way that they play. However, I've had two of them peel apart on my while shaping, so ever since then, I've returned to my RD's. (too bad you can't get em in the states!!:D )

I have a Talisman pro med. on one cue, Okura med. on another. The Okura is the best i've played with so far, holds chalk well, no mushroom, glues well and burnishes great. my 0.02
