Money in gambling?

Here are some stats from vbookie;

Total Bets: 923
Total staked: 120185
Total won: 47325

This mean that 72860 was lost. Add to that 7286 juice and the book would have made 80146. Pretty good money. Had a bookie friend tell me that with 50-60 players he would make 40-50K in a football season. Hum, I'm in the wrong business. Nah, with my luck I'd get caught and they'd put me in a cell with big bubba - and they don't call him big cause he's tall :eek:

Pel,
That seems incredible. Would a real bookie really offer 1/1 on Buddy Hall to beat some guy named Ashcraft or on Bustamante to beat some other guy we never heard of?? If your numbers are right a real bookie could make some serious cash. If our pool fanatics here are so hopeless, imagine what the uneducated gambling public would do.

It would be real tough to book pool.
"some guy named Ashcraft" knocked out Nick Varner, Gabe Owen, and Earl Strickland in succession at a race to 11 tournament last fall. I doubt it was "luck."

You've got that right. Man, that kid can play. I love watching it too.
He never seems to get around my way anymore, though.

Oh but no, ya not gonna get anybody to book even. Gonna be handicapped just like at StanJames Casino. I just posted this as an example. Still, you figure most folks betting on Vbookie are taking the 'favorite' and are still losing. If there wasn't money in it the books would be closed :D .

Oh yea, tell ya something else I figured out. Take these prognasticators - like Danny Sheridan - if you will bet every prediction opposite of his picks over an entire season you will do better than him.

For real, Pel
