Money or life on the line....what is your go to cue!

Mine would have to be my Meucci or Jacoby seeing as I am super familiar with these two and had them the longest. I learned how to play pool with these two so I know the little nuances. Like the sweet spot to make them draw or spin.

For you guys....which one will it be and why?

i've shot with steel jointed cues-schon//joss for about 30+ years but my carolina custom plain jane is what i'd pick.

Really at this point in the game we need to talk about shafts not just cue brands correct? I would guess half or more than half of us don't use the shaft that originally came with the cue we use, or had the shaft custom built to our specs. I really think any discussion on what cues we like has to include the shafts we use on them more than anything else, I'd say 80% of the "playability" people talk about comes from the shaft and tip if we put things like hit feel together with deflection properties into that single "how does it play" question that is asked.

I'd have to go with the Revo, followed by a shaft that actually did come with a custom cue I use by Joe Callaluca. That custom shaft is not only an LD shaft but has a sweet feeling hit I am comfortable with using on any cue. Revo I would take over any other shaft I tried for pure performance and my comfort zone in just shooting the shot without guessing how to adjust or worry that I will miss once I aim the shot.

I've hit with a few Meucci cues/shafts I like and many more I did not like, same for Jacoby and just about every other brand. Depends on the shaft that's on it. I liked the one Pro shaft I tried for Meucci, I like one black dot shaft, did not like about 6 others.

Just saying that a Meucci or Jacoby is the favorite cue is like saying "Ford is my favorite car to drive", do we mean a Mustang or a Taurus or an Explorer? And on what tires, you like your Mustang on snow tires or on the summer tires? Not so easy to just say one thing.

The cue i have been playing the most with! That would be the one i would pick to shoot with!

If my life was on the line, I'd use a phone line and call for back up!! But since no one would show up, I'd use my Carmeli with a fresh scuffed tip.

Keith Josey...original shaft. My usual playing cue. Kamui clear medium brown tip.

But then, I don't play for money and can't imagine getting into a match up that would put my life on the line.

My pool related response is Mueucci Sneaky Pete. I have used it forever and I am comfortable with it.

That's tough. I've got a Huebler I bought in the early to mid 90's that I played with until 2018. I know it like the back of my hand. I would normally have said my Ned Morris but I picked up another Huebler last year for the GF to use and I LOVE that cue.

So if life is on the line whichever is closest or in this order.

New Huebler
Ned Morris
Old Huebler

A satin Jerry Franklin pacifier with a matching early 314 shaft (no logo on shaft). Best playing combo I have ever found. It looks great and just cacoons me with confidence.
