More Old Videos from the Lindrum Masters

A while back I posted up a link to a unfinished 75 snooker break Oliver Ortman made while competing in the Lindrum Masters in Australia circa 1999 (I think).

Link to that thread here, and a little info about the Lindrum Masters tournament as well (Although it looks like the link to Tournament Info no longer works.)

At the time, I was doing the video editing on my old computer which promptly shat itself, and that was the end of that.

Anyway, I finally got a new dongle thingy jig, and have hooked up the VCR to the computer and am planning on uploading lots of old Pool matches I have had stored on VHS cassettes since the 90s.

Here is a link to a Rempe vs Ortman match from the Lindrum Masters. Note, not all matches are complete, some were partially taped over etc etc, so you get what you pay for in other words. ;)

Several other matches already uploaded, more will follow when time permits. Check back often.

Cheers - Dave.

First off, thank you for theses videos. Very cool to see pool players running reds.

After watching though i cant help but notice the pockets seem quite a bit larger than those of a typical professional match.

Is this the case?

Thanks a bunch, I love seeing Rempe play, and am looking forward to the others too....

I would say yes. Both the snooker table and the pool table used in this invitational event seemed to have rather generous pockets. This is probably a combination of two things. (1) These were the tables available to the organisers at the time, and (2) it promotes more "exciting" play for the average punter to watch.

I'll be posting a lot more videos over the next few weeks, including stuff from the mid 90s, of some of the early Matchroom invitational events. Those guys really put on a good show, with lots of atmosphere.

hi DAVE, cheers for the effort. the videos that you have posted are real gem. hope to see more if possible. love to see more of geet sethi and pool players playing snooker. haha cheers my mate
