I think they misunderstood when they heard "break cue".
Looks like a lot of unhappy pool players in Husker land. They need to take two weeks off from playing pool and take up a non-contact sport like knitting.
I would think that after time the repair will fail from vibration and flexing taking it's toll on the glue bond...I would tell the person it's a right off...
There are a couple of ways to go about fixing a break like this. On both of these, they are just glued back together under pressure with 2 ton epoxy. I don't believe the joint is any weaker now then it was before the break. That is the weakest point of a cue to begin with.
Sometimes I glue it back together and then core it out. I have to replace the joint collars and rings along with the male pin. It is more labor intensive and I believe that is affects the playability. Not necessarily in a bad way but there will be a difference. It will be a lot stronger.

I disagree. Either way, everything is explained to the customer and all options are explored. In the case of the MOP spiral cue (not sure what it is), I even quoted out a new forearm.
Some cues have sentimental value and I'll try my best to restore them.
