Morning fire destroyed B&D Cues in Springfield, MO.

As Stamp Reamer pointed out , it went quite well. So far the combined efforts and contributions of many resulted in Dave being presented an early total of just shy of $2500. There will still be more money coming in and Grizzly Industrial ( http://www.grizzly.com/ ) is going to try to help Dave out as well.

Dave is a very solid man but I have to say I am certain I saw some dampness in those eyes. He was very much appreciative and a little overwhelmed.

There are still a few (9) tickets left to sell at $40 each for the smoker/trailer combo before it can be raffled off. The chance of winning will be 1 in 50. And t-shirts can still be ordered for just a few more days (I believe until early Wednesday next). Again, Tammy Myers (who did a fantastic job with all this) is the person to call and arrange purchase as well as payment.

:)

It was a good day! A huge "THANK YOU" to all who came out to support Super Dave! We raised some money for my friend, got to spend some time with an incredible showman and player, Mike Massey and had a great time in the process!

Booboo dumbass fire starting idiots...Hooray friends supporting friends when the going is tough...oh yeah, and BEER!

Sam, I am sorry the handling of the laptop raffle was a little botched. Very nice! laptop donated by Sam was never made known here because it was to be sold at silent auction. A last minute change resulted in it being raffled instead and I'm sure some of the members here would have liked to have purchased a shot at that machine. Thanks for that excellent donation Sam.

And aint that Van Evans one lucky dude? :)

Great turn-out

Sorry it took so long to post again!

As you have read, great turn out and money raised for Super Dave, hope everyone ordered their shirt/hoodie and TOWEL! those towels are embroidered with the old B&D logo guys! at $10? what a steal!! lol

OK so on a serious note, i haven't heard about the smoker/trailer, and yes Sam sorry that didn't play out as planned. If it helps i donated a $75 vase for raffle, they gave away as a "door prize".. but it was the thought that counted and im sure glad/appreciative you chipped in as well!! Tramp steamer was mad this wasn't a One-pocket benefit tourney! sorry... maybe someday we can actually put together a good one-pocket tourney here!

Again thanks to all, and anyone here still wanting a t-shirt/hoodie/towel I need orders/money no later than WED!! arghh...lol

Thanks to all!!

Van is the stone cold Brazilians when it comes to raffles sir!

The fact that there was no One Pocket at Super Dave's benefit tournament aside, I have heard that Dave is test driving a new lathe, even as we speak, so all is going well.
Thanks again to Underclocked, 3railWill, Sam Waltz, and all the rest of the good people who worked so hard to make this benefit happen, and a special thanks to Sherrie, and the lovely ladies, at Dennis'.

I am please to add this new information: with the successful completion of the raffle of the smoker/trailer we have now raised $3740 with more money to be given him from the sale of T-shirts, hoodies, and towels. There will also be a raffle held at the next monthly tournament at OK Bar & Billiards in Joplin, MO. with those proceeds to go directly to Dave.

Thanks to those here that contributed in any way.
