Very pressure packed match. Supposedly playing for $500,000 top prize (I doubt Trudeau paid in full).

Final rack in particular had some suspense. (Starts at 1 hr 20 min)

That slow cloth and the pressure seemed to make for a tough match.

Rodney scratches in the same side pocket 3 times on the break. Very strange.
 
I can't believe it has been over 10 years.

Still the best tournament ever held in the history of pool. (Only if you neglect the small issue of the players not getting paid as promised.)
 
Going by memory the players got paid 90 or 100% of the money but not on time. I seem to remember 9 installments but not sure if the last was ever paid.

This as also the match where Efren sharked Morris (well, at least a little). Fun times thought those IPT tournaments.

How did Efren shark him? I didn't notice anything other than Efren breaking so bad throughout most of the match that it seemed almost like he was safety breaking.

Nice to see somebody care about the older matchups on Youtube. There certainly has been a downturn spiral of matches seen in 2017.

Most of those matches were filmed by someone that does not know how to film pool, the camera is moving almost all of the time. In some of them they zoom in on the player's face or some bug sitting on the pocket instead of the view of the shot. I watched the Efren vs Sigel IPT match but most others made me seasick trying to follow the camera.

I am sure you dont even believe your own pooh...it is purely designed to create friction.

Anyone with a smidgen of brain power would acknowledge that the sheer increase in volume, coupled with practically 0 difference in skill...means quality of available matches did not decrease by any measure

Nevermind technological advances, pooh-fly.

Watch Efren closely from 44:30 tot 46:00 and listen what Rodney says at 46:07
If you're only gonna do it once in your career this match is probably a good choice.
