We know the venue, we know the dates, but is there anything else anybody knows about the event thus far? The reason for the post is usually in September the teams are announced for the Mosconi and as of this moment I know one confirmed name - Tony Drago. Has anyone else heard of who else may be in it this year, and is it to early to predict a score? :)

Go Europe.

The USA can't announce their team until after the US OPEN. The winer of the US Open gets a spot. I am not sure how the Euros do it

I believe we take the number one on the euro tour at a certain cut of point, and then select three others and leave a wild card for the best WPC finisher. With the WC's in doubt, it will be interesting to see who makes the Euro team....BTW, rep added for a quick and helpful answer. :)

The #1 on the Eurotour-ranking after the next Eurotour-tournament (Weert Open) is also rewarded with a spot.

Last year the European players who finished highest in both US Open and World Pool Championship got a spot too.

Normally the Europan 9-ball Champion always gets a spot too, but for some reason Thorsten Hohmann didn't get "his" spot last year... If they use this "rule" this year it will be Stephan Cohen from France, so my wild guess is that they will not use this rule in 2008 either...
