Mosconi Cup cues

The Universal product line is available in the US from my friend Mike Hoang aka Omega Billiards.

Yes. You can still get them through a bunch of places. However, the cues are no longer being manufactured. That’s the information I got from 4 of their dealers. So, once Mike is out of cues, he won’t be able to get any more.

You don't run a marathon in flip flops...

So you shoot with a house cue?

No, but I'd bet I can run just as fast ( not fast at all ) in my $20 New Balances from Payless as with my $250 Air Jordans ( still not that fast at all 😊). Sea goes for dunkin, jumping, cuttin etc. As to the house cues - I can tell you I've played countless $500 & $1000 sets off the wall, sometimes even with my cue sitting right there in ,your case. I actually think house cues play better than a 2 piece as long as it's a decent house cue because it's all in piece of wood and the hit seems more solid. But anyway, whatever cue I may have had at the time ( usually a Scruggs ) didn't make me play any better than a decent House cue off the wall, they were just prettier.

The issue with house cues is condition and maintenance. Not always easy to find a decent one on the wall that is in good shape with a good tip.

If you carry your own it is good insurance about those matters. It can always be in great shape with a great tip.

The vast majority of house cues are not a single piece of wood. They are spliced wood. And many of them are actually jointed these days, the joint is glued. Just go look at Lucasi house cues. You can see the joint line.

But I am sure you realize all that since you enjoy house cues.

Personally I don't care what the Pros play with, but a lot of people do, and I don't bash them for it.

I don't think the OP said anything about fancy, just asking what cues they are playing with.

Play with what you like as you like.
