Here's the line-up for today. I expect USA to get at least 3 points today to bring us at least 5-5 after today is done.

I'll bet you probably "expected" to win that doubles match and be up 2-0 on the day while being up 4-2 in the match, but we all know how that turned out.
What 3 points did you have in mind? I'm taking Dechaine over Ouschan, I think Woodward might get Boyes, can't pick another so I see us getting lucky for the third.

Feijen didn't seem to do well in doubles, but it could have just been first day jitters. He's a great player though.

I think Bergman/Sky pairing will win.

As for the Dechaine/Corey match. I was with my girlfriend up until the end of the Bergman/Feijen match so I have no opinion on the Dechaine/Corey match and it's the only one I didn't catch myself up on on YouTube yet.

Yea I feel the same hopefully USA can get those 3 points

Its really gonna come down to who has better break cause this
table is not too easy. You can see the ball skidding on the new cloth
on a few of the replays of unforced errors.

I agree. I like the US chances in all of the singles matches and think they'll probably split the doubles matches. Obviously, my views are a little tainted since I'm pulling for the US team but I think they lose the first and win the next four. My big concern is, if they do lose the first match, will they step it up and regain momentum? Look for DeChaine to lead the charge.

This is going to be good. I think they all suffered from first day jitters--both teams, even Europe.

It looks to me like the pairings are better today. I've got high hopes for Team USA. And I too hope Woodward destroys everyone.

Contrary to another thread, I do not believe Corey is a B player. He's a world beater. Pool has always seemed like a game to me. The Mosconi Cup format makes it more a sport. Corey is the epitome of a lone wolf: his style is unique, almost savant-like, and not conducive to doubles or team play. He is a champion, and we all know it.

Damn, I'm counting the minutes here. USA!

The host country should dictate match starting times. Theese are horrible! For East AND West Coast!

It's so nice to see such support, as seemingly blind as it might be. I would like to see the US win but i'm pulling for EUR to win just the same, cause i'm behind who plays well and deserves the win. But come on expect the worst and be surprised not expect the best and get disappointed.

That said, I like Sky over Boyes, no wait, I want sky to win over boyes

What the sam-hell is going on with Ken Shuman? Second rack, Skyler vs Karl Boyes, Karl has BIH, Ken calls foul (due to using the CB to measure the gap), then changes his mind after Karl protests and Ken speaks with both captains, THEN he tells Karl to pick the ball up again and replace it. I suppose just touching it is not good enough? Kudos to Karl for making the awkward 2 ball, after all that drama, lol.

Meanwhile, the crowd is screaming and Ken is gonna shout the crowd down.

I hope Ken brought friends with him...
