The Mosconi cup website says there is one session per day, 11am to 4pm

Is this correct ?

Aren't they missing out on a lot of money/atmosphere/spectators by not having an evening session in wild Vegas ?

At an event like the Mosconi Cup, the live audience is there as part of the performance, not to pay for the event. I doubt that the paid admission covers the cost of setting up the arena.

But as mentioned above, all of it goes live to Europe which is 8 or 9 hours later than Las Vegas. The broadcast starts at 7PM in England. It is the European TV audience (through sponsors) that pays for the event.

This is correct, plus it usually runs long anyway. A six hour day is about average.

Sigh. I guess that's because there are so many more pool players in Australia than the US. Are you going to stay up all night or get up really, really early?
