doesn't matter if they are allowed or not.....not a woman on planet earth should make the team
As I recall I believe the first Mosconi Cup event and maybe the next 1 or 2 afterwards had Allison Fisher and I think Jeanette Lee on the teams. But since then the Mosconi Cup as an event has become more organized and structured and no women since the beginning have been on any of the teams

I would think that regardless of gender, Karen Corr has to be regarded as one of the better players in the world today, certainly worthy of a bid to the Mosconi Cup

No, not at all. Just my opinion, no need to get nasty
The general consensus in pool is that top class women can't continually outperform semi-pro men. The lowest Fargorate for the top 100 Males (just U.S.) is around 720 or so and that's right about where the top FargoRate in the Worlds Women division.
Interestingly enough, there are slight differences in the psychology of the two genders that make men more inclined to perform well in pool and women not so much. Basically, the differences in slight cognitive abilities show up on a pool table but not a standardized test.
Karren Corr is certainly a monster but I don't think she's a modern Mosconi Cup candidate.

The question I was pondering is how many matches does Dechaine have to win in order to lock in his automatic spot on the mosconi cup team?
He was in #2 spot but in reaching distance from others. I'm guessing two more wins and he will have enough points to put him on the team automatically.
