Mosconi Cup T-shirts for fans Str8-shots will fund.

Ok, so I read a thread on Facebook and someone suggested that there should be an official Mosconi Cup event T-Shirt. The shirt would have all the players on it from both teams. Of course the design would have to be approved by Matchroom etc and sold on site.

So I am going to talk to matchroom honchos and see if they are planning on doing their own merchandising since they really don't do it much over here in the states. If they are not planning on merchandise then I will ask permission to create a shirt for their approval.

Str8-shots will fund the entire shirt line an all profits will go to the Billiard Education Foundation (BEF) and other youth programs.

What you guys and Gals think? Everyone get opportunity for memorabilia an the Youth get the benefits.

i went to Mosconi 2011, and all i got was a stinkin' 10x14 poster!

if you had TWO shirts - USA/Urup - they'd both sell. unfortunately, they'll drop MORE $$$$ than we will. but they will BOTH sell. and Mirage can be a sponsor.

How about a cotton collar golf or tennis type shirt rather than a t-shirt? They cost a little bit more but are so much nicer.

Or maybe both to offer an option.

I agree, Not only with nicer polo shirts but with 2 different shirts. One for Urope and one for the USA. Since this is going to be a cost to str8-shots we really don't want to be left with a bunch of shirts that didn't sell for what ever reason. So I think its easier to have one shirt for all and it avoids complication etc. No idea how many should be made at this point so as to accommodate every one but not be left with 300 shirts ya know?

If possible, it might be a good idea to have a local company in Vegas do the shirts so an additional order can be placed so you don't initially overstock but can get more ASAP if demand dictates.

as a wholesaler, we know markup on clothing.
the attendees wear tshirts, albeit Xmas @ Vegas.
(i vote for tank tops)
there are MANY places @ Strip, to get last minute T-shirts air-brushed.
i'll kick-in $200 for the Cause & pass them out @ N/C (for the US only!)

but

"Urup" has to be very, very small & mis-typed....

Please if you do end up making them, remember that there are a lot of pool players that are 3x and 4x knowing that most shirts will shrink on first wash, or down the line when your wife gets mad at you.

I have lots of 2x shirts that my family can wear, because it was put on high in the dryer.

The last idea I had was to get someone on here who does caricatures to do a table in the middle and 5 faces on each side. That would be a nice shirt and not like all the other shirts out there that say nine ball and have a pool table or one pocket and have a pool table.

I Spoke with matchroom and still would like their blessing to do something. They told me that they would like to do some merchandise but due to the casino/hotel wanting cut and insurance and a space fee if they were to be sold on site. So I am still waiting forhe blessing but I think we will have to sell them online prior to the event unless someone wants to break the rules a little like you see at rock concerts out side. However that $$$ needs to go to the BEF, str8-shots and the Youth programs. If I get the blessing we will go to work on maybe a design contest and a vote/poll.

That was me who put this idea out there yesterday on Facebook and also here on azbilliards. I really hope this idea works. I think by putting the faces on the shirt, this would also be a good point of selling the shirts.I also said that some of the proceeds go to the BEF, for the next generation of up and coming players. I think this would create a huge Market for these shirts. I would like to thank you for stepping up to the plate and to try to get the Ball rolling on this project..... Hoping it gets done !!!!!!! .... BRAVO..BRAVO..!!!!!!
