Mosconi Cup week 2018

I don't know about ya'll but my job productivity has been crap for the last two days. I am employing the Costanza maneuver, where I just look agitated and frustrated anytime someone pops in...that way they all think I am super busy.

I think Kaci's biggest problem is that the shot clock forces the slowest player on Earth to take less than three minutes per shot, and that upsets his routine.

And I say three cheers for the shot clock.
^^^^^^^
Ah. You beat me to it!!!
The shot clock is not his friend. Lol
Good!!!!
USA!!!!!!
.....Wish this was the score last yr. when I was there.
We were all but finished by now.

I think Chamat made a mistake with his lineup yesterday.

Pairing Kaci with a full pumped up Shaw wasn`t the way to go. It put a lot of pressure on Kaci and made him lose his confidence completely going into the final match.

Ouschan would have been a better partner to Kaci, calming him down and help him staying focused on the match and not raging up the crowd even more.

Imo Feijen/Shaw would have been the better option, because Nils, although he isn`t playing well either, has enough experience to handle Shaw, the crowd and the pressure.

Anyway, we will see what matches are played today, but I slightly fear that Europe runs out of options going into the final day, because they can`t afford to fall further behind and will have to bring out the big guns today.

I Just saw an interview with styler. He said after Shaw stood on svb chair the whole team was pissed. You don’t stand on the Kings chair. They were getting the point back lol he said it very mater a factlie. I love their focus and closeness as a team. I really think those practice matches against Germany and England helped.

I said the same thing in the streaming chat yesterday. You are going to put your nasty foot prints in a chair where someone is about to sit? Come on.

As for Johan, win or lose, I think it is safe to say the US side has looked and competed better this year than at anytime in the last 6 or 7 years at least. As much as some on here boo-booed the idea of boot camps and such, maybe Johan does know a thing or two about putting a team together and getting the best out of them. In other words, how to COACH a TEAM.

Also, we'll know more in a day or two, but for years several experts have surmised that the US would never again compete with the Euros because a lack of talent, poor fundamentals, Americans don't care unless there is cash in the middle, and a plethora of other excuses. Maybe a competitive match changes the narrative a little. Maybe we will have to rethink all of that. Maybe the US players CAN compete, maybe they just needed a coach who focused on little things like lagging, safety play, pattern play, and team chemistry.

Russia, not Germany....and fully agree, along with Eurotour at Leende.

Right now the only matchup today we know for certain is that the second one will be Kazakis vs Woodward. They're the only players who didn't play singles matches on either Tuesday or Wednesday, and as such the rules force them to play in the first singles match today, which is match #2.

EDIT: Never mind, when I wrote the above I hadn't seen the schedule posted on the previous page.

I wonder how much practice time SVB put in on the lag?
He always had a good lag, but now he's just parking cue ball on the rail.

I like that they are only playing SVB once: if the team can stay even or even ahead today, it'll take a lot of pressure off of SVB on the last day and then he can really get into his non-mosconi gear

i have no gripes with chamats picks today. yesterday was questionable. i believe they can turn this ship, just keep kaci away from the table
