Based on the current Fargo Ratings it looks like team USA should win the Mosconi cup this year.

Based on the ratings team Asia could play the rest of the world and destroy them.

Team USA
2. Shane Van Boening USA 824
9. Mike Dechaine USA 797
12. Justin Bergman USA 794
28. Johnny Archer USA 783
30. Rodney Morris USA 783

Team Europe
5. Niels Feijen NED 804
18. Darren Appleton GBR 791
23. Mark Gray GBR 787
24. Jayson Shaw SCT 787
26. Mika Immonen FIN 786

If the Mosconi cup is picked the way your list is....

It would be USA 3981 total, vs Europe 3955 total. Very very close.

I'd still give the advantage to Europe, because they have the team aspect down pat. The US guys are still all loners.

Edit* That's an average of 796 for the USA, and 791 for Europe.

Wow Justin Bergman moved up quite a bit after the match with Shaw. I guess that's what 80 games does to the ratings when you win by 20.

What did the Fargo Ratings say about Team USA vs. Team Qatar in the recent World Cup of Pool?

I'm pretty sure #2 Shane Van Boening USA @ 824 and #9 Mike Dechaine USA @ 797 were rated way higher than Waleed Majid and Bashar Hussain.

You missed out the "3rd Ko", Artem Ko shov yi :grin-square:
5 Niels Feijen NED804
8 Artem Koshovyi UKR798
18 Darren Appleton GBR791
23 Mark Gray GBR787
24 Jayson Shaw SCT787

Total for Europe should be 3967 so it is closer to the 3981 for USA

Asia would be 4047 almost all 5 at 800ish
1 Jiaqing Wu CHN833
3 Dennis Orcollo PHI811
4 Pin Yi Ko TPE805
6 Yu Lung Chang TPE800
7 Carlo Biado PHI798

I think Fargorate is better predictor of team matches than individual singles matches

My bad...I didn't realize the Ukraine was part of Europe. I have never heard of Artem Koshovyi. Is he really that good?
