Most balls on the break?

I have made 6 balls in nineball several times. Also made 8 in eightball once during bca league. I made 5 stripes,2 solids and the eight. We spotted the eight and I ran out the solids. Couldn't do anything with either of the striped balls lol. This was on a valley 7'.

Witnessed Kim Davenport pocket 6 balls on the break(playing 9-Ball)
at the U.S. Bar Tables Champs several years ago and failed to get out.

I was hill-hill in a cheap set, made 5 balls on the break in 9 ball with a set-up-by-hand-for-practice easy table to get out, and failed miserably because I was too impressed with myself. Sometimes I think I'm terrified of winning.

Well I guess I break like a whimp my best is 5 in 8ball ( using a magic rack) the 8 , 2 solids and 2 stripes. And I think 4 in 9 ball. I don't play 9 ball much. Mostly play 8-ball one pocket and crib pool ( a game I made up one night we were rlly bored)

I heard something about Larry Nevel making 10 balls on the break in a rack of 8ball

I was just at the state tourney and a guy told me that he had just made 10 balls in an 8-ball break that week. His buds verified it.

He had no reason to lie. He was from my town, but I don't know him well enough to vouch for his story.

Made 6 in 9-ball a few times, 7 in 8 ball.

Last tourney i shot in, i dropped 6 and ended up stitched behind the 9 shooting at the 2, which was stitched behind the 3.

Same thing in a later round. Dropped 5, ended up with no shot and couldnt roll out anywhere good.

If it wasnt for bad luck......:)

Believe it or not, I made 8 ball in a 9. Everyone was amused when I made it but sad to say I was lost on that game.

I once played a set of 9 ball with this old guy with a gray beard, he had the most unbelievable break you ever saw. He was on the hill when he broke and made all 9 balls! As I sat there stunned, he came over to me and handed me a bottle of Dos Equis and said "stay thirsty my friend".

Well this isn't the same thing but figured i'd note it.

The other day I messing around and decided to practice my break since it was feeling good. Smashed the first one 9 ball straight into the corner 2 other balls in the sides.

Re-racked, smashed it harder then before this time.. 9 ball in the corner 2 more balls down.

Feeling spunky now, re-racked.. smashed it again.. 9 ball in the corner....

at this point i'm the only person in the room and just kind of chuckling at the fact that no one is here to witness it ( when I say smashing, I mean it was absolutely SMASHING the balls.. cue ball popping up about 3 feet in the air squatting perfectly in the middle of the table after hopping a few more times )

So, I re-rack again.. smash it again and get a perfect spread, 2 balls in each corner and wing ball in the side everything laying out in the open.. but no 9-ball and i'm sad now :sorry:

So I re-rack once more, smash it one more time... 9-ball in the corner. I place the stick on the table and walk out with a slight smirk on my face.

What is the most balls on the break you've witnessed? 8-ball, 9-ball and 10-ball would all be interesting to know.

I've knocked in 6 balls with 8-ball, and I've seen 7 balls drop in 9-ball. The guy was left with the 9 and another ball (and cueball), and didn't get the runout :)

I was once playing one of Cincinnati's top bar box players getting the 7 & 8 playing 9ball. I made 6 balls on the break and naturally none of my money balls were among them. Worse thing was I was froze to the 8 ball and the nine was hanging in a corner pocket. I had to try a 2 rail kick to hit the 7 and missed leaving my opponent with an easy BIH 7-9 combo. I might have been better off trying a one rail kick to make the nine but with BIH I figured he'd get out anyway. That's when I pulled up knowing it just wasn't my night.

I saw 6 balls in an 8-ball rack, with no ball made after that (he was hooked on 8). I have seen 4-5 balls in 9-ball pretty often by Joe Schmoes.
