FTR, I wasn't trying to say that "scratching" is easy in Russian Pyramid, just that it is weird to watch a pocket billiard game where you are intentionally trying to scratch. Not used to seeing that.
And while it may not be easy in RP, it sure is in pool. I know because I am very good at it and I never even practice that shot. :thumbup:

Not you specifically (concerning the knuckleheads remark). Just collectively -- there are a heck of a lot more pool players I've seen this remark from than you specifically. Those that say this, also have to consider English billiards "weird" also -- where intentional scratching is a key technique of the game to score points. Methinks Russian Pyramid actually got its roots from English billiards, with a little bit of pool and snooker thrown in there (where else would they get the idea of a 12'x6' table?).
As for scratching in pool, it's a lot easier because of the much larger pockets and smaller table (less table real estate). We know this all too well.
