Which junior player in the world has the most talent?

America: Landon Shuffett, Austin Murphy

Taiwan: Wu Chia Ching, Pin Yi Ko

Germany: Dominic Jentsch

Philippines: jerome Pena

My vote for the best : Wu and Ko close behind him...technically Wu hasnt been allowed to play in juniors events any more...imagine that, a junior too good he was barred his remaining 3 years
wow!
The asians it seems a different league than rest of the world juniors. I wish we could do more for the USA juniors to step it up a few notches

Pin Yi Ko (TPE) and Jericho Banares(PHI) get my vote.

Wu Chia Ching will turn 20 in a couple of weeks and probably shouldn't be thought of as a junior anymore. I'd have to go with Ko as the top junior nine ball player in the world today. Jentsch, by virtue of his ninth place finish in the World 14.1 Championships, surely deserves the nod as the top junior 14.1 player.

good point, didnt kno his age now.
Po gets my vote

should we pitch in and send Landon to asia/europe for training?
:)

Pena? Junior? He was born on 1982.07.20.

I think Wu Chia Ching (1989.02), Ko Pin Yi (1989.05), and Jericho Banares were all born in 1989.

It is too bad, no one mentioned Wu Yu Lun (1989.10) - he has ever made the history to win three-times world junior champion and was also the youngest junior world champion (15 years old). Besides, Johnny Archer was eliminatedin by Wu Yu Lun in 2007 WPC.

15 years old Jonas Magpantay of the Philippines performed extremely well in Reno and he's not even ranked here in the top 100.

He does play pretty good. He has a nice stroke too. I'm sure we'll be hearing from him again in the future.

wu chia ching

remb wu cc knock out svb in world 10ball, the 1st time they ever met n played :)

friens of mine noe him personally, read his blog also,

he should travel to usa more often, he could well be better than efren, if he stay that long in pool,

his break is good, his jump, safeties, kicking, accuracy, maybe just alittle bit more of composure, calmness, which svb has, gamble more:)

jeff de luna is also very talented, just that nv travel much to play

ko pin yi is catching up, but he dont have that winning mentality, not strong enuf,

benares is good, just that his break n jump abit poor,

i like austin murphy, the future, be the next svb,

there r some good young players from china, hong kong also,

han hao xiang, g9bt player, born 1990 i think

Yi pin ko..was down 11 games in the 2008 Bangkok open against Dennis Orcullo and came 11 straight racks to win it all in the finals.

Can't see Austin Murphy doing that against a top 5 oppenent just yet.

John Morra - placed 3rd in his last World Junior event behind Wu, and Wu when they were all 15 years old!

Jericho Banares impressed me the most. You need to remember that these kids are still developing...of the few I got to watch he had the best routine and was metally tough....very fun to watch!

My vote goes to JOHANN CHUA...watch out for this young guy, he is only 16 years old, still inexperienced in big tournaments but he has the guts and the skills to make it big....just last week, Ko Pin Yi lost to him on a hill hill fashion in a money game here held at One Side. the boy has the heart and he's got the break too.

my vote goes to Kamilla Khodjaeva.

she's europe's next jasmin oushan. met her and her father 3 years ago in a snooker club, i saw her pot one ball, and what i saw was pricelless  .
I asked her to play in my new poolleague and she started to focus on playing pool since then, won 9 out of 10 of the national rankings events in a row, beat the boys like Stephen lammens from belgium (European champion youth 2008), participated in her first international tournament (EC 2009) this year, and won the European Championship titel in her first visit. She can run 5 racks in a row like if its nothing, has a clearance percentage of close to 80percent, has a TIGER spirit and the MOST beautifull pot and technique I've seen in a long time.

ps she's 12y old...
