Are we going to try to break this record on Halloween again? LOL

565 users online at one time! All we need is 566!

Anyone with me? Or should we do this on a different day?

What is the verdict? Are we going to try to break the record, or doesn't anyone care that we are all addicted to such a great web forum? LOL:confused:

what a stange day to have the record. I'll be on if thats the plan once I figure out what time that is at my house.

Does anyone else want to break the record? Or should I go out and knock door to door for candy that night? LOL

I think they may have had a IPT tournament during that weekend. That probably generated that much traffic.

Things seem sudenly beefed up on the home page....

"Most users ever online was 2,705, Today at 01:38 PM."

If I am not mistaken, I believe it has to do with a forum setting. I think there is a setting the mods can make where it counts the people logged on for so long. Something like "Update every 10 minutes" or so.

I am pretty sure the forum was moved to a new server a short while ago and this setting was probably left at default. It most likely is counting everyone that is logged in all day long. I'd be more apt to think the true number to be anywhere from 100 to 500 at any given time.

I was trying to figure out what was happening on October 31, 2006, and I did a little search on the forum to see why so many people were hanging out on this forum at that time.

I came to the conclusion that it was IPT-related. It was approximately one month after the last IPT event.

For two years, those who experienced the IPT ride sat in first class all the way. It was a joy for the players who competed in those events to experience the venues, the green rooms, the cameras, et cetera. :grin-angelic: :outtahere:

Here is one thread I found on October 31, 2006, that multipled like a rocket: http://forums.azbilliards.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=875444

During the IPT era, if I can call it that, this forum had plenty of people checking in, wanting to know what was going on. :embarrassed2:

Thats exactly right, you can set the default time to whatever you want, the longer the time setting the more people it shows logged on.
