With time, practice will become a habit, and become agreeable and perhaps even enjoyable.
The hardest part is the first day. The second hardest part is the 2nd day... and so on. After a few days, you'll have been engrossed in good quality practice for a couple of hours before you realize how long you've been doing it.
When I jump back on the practice wagon for say an upcoming event, my focus would drop after about 1 hour. The next day I might last 2 hours. By the end of the week 4 hours would fly. The brain is much like a muscle, without the hassle of delayed onset muscle soreness. i.e. When we try to get into running, the pain after the first run makes it doubly hard to go out again the next day.
