Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!!

I really like the 4 pointer. That veneer combo is one of my all time favorites, and it really looks classy with the simple slotted diamond inlays.

The other one is very unique, and the veneers go nicely with the burl wood. I think the wrap really ties it all together nicely, too.

Those are 2 Very sharp cues James!!!

Thanks Mike, The 4 point cue is my favorite playing cue out of the cues i've owned and i've had quite a few in my life. Paul matched 2 Predator 314 2nd Generation shafts to it and I really like the way it plays. You might remember a Mottey cue I used to own that was identical to this one except it was loaded with ivory inlays. It was just too fancy for me to play with and I ended up selling it when I got the chance to buy this cue and this one totally suits me.

Keep in touch,
James

i remember that cue...is that the w/ the picture w/ runde schon?

Szamboti Mottey

Thanks for the pictures Mike. That's the cue Paul Mottey built for me and after I got it I was afraid to play with it. It's a beautiful cue and I guess it was too rich for my pool game. Paul did a great job on that cue and I hated to let it go.

That Mottey is one of my all time favorites, with 100 Ivory inlays. What a monster.

They are definitely both very nice. Which one do you like to play with the best.
I play with the 4 point cue. It's my favorite and I have 2 regular shafts and 3 predator shafts with matching ring work. I like that cue more than any other cue i've owned and i've tried quite a few.

Nice color scheme

James,
The black/red/black/white color scheme is one of my favorites. It really adds color without being to overbearing. I don't want to hijack your thread, but you have that nice little theme going so here is another out of the Mottey shop, by JMW.

I wanted to do a cue with no metal so Jim and I came up with this. I added the red veneers with the intersection dots because that is a look I really like. Jim and I collaborated on ivory boxes and propellers.

ok lets combine the two. I am in the process of designing a cue from paul and jim. would the forearm from joe van's cue look good with the zsam style butt of the cue sccues used to have look good? I already have a fancy peacock cue that sccues used to have and am looking for a propeller style cue.

Joe,

The black/red/black/white veneer color scheme is probably my favorite and it looks great on your JMW cue also. Paul and Jim do some of the best veneer work i've seen. Your cue has a unique look with the inlay pattern you and Jim came up with....
