There is a rumor that the great cue-maker Paul Mottey has retired, can anyone confirm?
If he has, start grabbing them that are for sale. Price will raise a few hundred easy on each!!!

Paul Mottey

I was at Breakers a week ago Monday and heard it from Paul himself. He's retired and will make about 20 more cues!

from what i hear paul is finishig up his current orders and hes done. i think hes fnished already. the shop is now jims. ask lee about some more details. hes good friends with paul and jim. from what i heard jim is relocating the shop to his home.

I heard this a month or so ago from one of His customers that was down here visiting at the time. He shoots with one of His cues, and seemed very sure of It, but other then that I don't know if It's rumor or not for sure, only what I heard through the grapevine. It would be a shame, He does really nice work, and I like the hit of of His cues.

This is interesting news.
I love my Mottey cues, and I think James White had a very good mentor.
The JMW cue I've been playing with for a while now in my opinion is as good as it gets.
My teammates are always playing with it when I walk away and are amazed at the way it hits.

That must be a very good shop, and Paul Mottey developed a nice legacy with James White building cues.
