hey all, i havnt been around for a while, really been concentrating on school and just getting through lately... anyway i'm in cincy, ohio now looking for a job and a place to play pool...

so pretty much i'm looking for suggestions on both (admittedly the job needs to come first) already have a bunch of apps in, just thought somebody around here might know somebody around here.. ya know?

thanks a lot, looking forward to meeting up with a couple of you.

i'm in chillicothe ohio, about 80 miles from cincy, if your ever headed north give me a holler, no pool halls local but a couple decent bars or my house, i'm always here, my bike shop is right next door, just hit me up, always looking to meet new people.

What kind of job are you looking for? PM me if you like with some more info and I'll see if I can help.

bump bump... i'll also be in U.C's catskellar playing a little tonight and listening to some live music.

If you ever get up to Dayton look me up. Plenty of places to play here.

The best room in cincy just closed (BK Billiards) but if your looking to gamble you need to go straight to Michael’s its off RT4 in Fairfield OH just outside the 275 loop. All there 9' tables are Diamonds and they have a decent bar. Snookers off 747 is a nice place too but its becoming more of a bar than a pool room lately. Sneaky Petes is cool too, 9' Olhousen chap pros play very good and it has a good atmosphere, its in Milford I think also of 275. Haven’t been there in a while but I remember it being ok.

the kind that pays.... i really prefer low wage, over worked jobs, with no real benefits...

just kidding... i have a green card!

but seriously i've applied to circuit city, dicks, best buy, and some book stores. i'm hoping to find something that involves people skills, or at least something thats not going to be too monotonous day after day.

i just got down here a day ago, if no jobs turn up by mid week then i'm going to break down and start applying to the fast food places so i at least have work though... gotta do what ya gotta do....

There are a couple labor ready places in town. One is downtown and the other is in Hamilton. I wouldnt recommend it unless your hard up for cash.

Why not try a pool room? Rack n Roll is over on the west side. There used to be Jupiter Billiards on short vine. It changed names too many times, don;t even know if the still have tables. I believe they were 8 Brunswick Medalist's.

Have you ever worked on tables?

Joe, BK is closed??? Whats up?

f you're looking for a retail job and a good poolroom nearby look on the north side of town around Springdale (Tri-County Mall) or Fairfield (Cincinnati Mills Mall). Michael's Billiards is within 15 minutes of both those. There are literally hundreds of restaurants and retail around there.

send me a pm if i can help (sorry you can;t crash here :D )

good luck

Yeah its closed. I have no idea why but I talked to one of the owners and all he would say is “stupid sh*t happened”. I really can’t believe it was money problems because the place usually had a real good crowd, even through the summer.

It really is a shame though that was the best place in town.

Did you hang out there? Have we met before??
