Moving a pool table on a carpet

I just put in a table (picture below), and as you can see it is on a thin (1 cm) 4.5M x 4.5M carpet. On one end there is couches that I can't move back in further as there are vertical blinds, and on the other side there is a table with chairs that I can move. On the side with the couches I could use another few inches from shots right on that rail. Is is possible to pull the carpet that the table sits on towards the table and chair area a few inches or will that mess up the balance of the table? The table will not move in the process, only the carpet. Anybody have experience with this? I know you can move it on a dolly, and to me it seems like the same sort of idea.

Anybody have an educated idea? I'm about to do this by rolling up the carpet on the end I want to push and then have somebody pull the other end of the carpet. I want to move it like 3 or 4 inches.

Is it a better idea to wait till the table settles? I just had it installed today. I don't want to mess up the balance.
 
My floor might be slightly unlevelled, since I repaired a tile in that area not too long ago. So I imagine that the table will have to be re-levelled once moved. Is this something I could do myself?
 
Post this in the "Talk to a mechanic" section and you'll get a better response, but read the sticky at the top of the section about explaining what kind of pool table you have...it helps to know what we're dealing with.

The table is a Brunswick Centurion.
