Moving down south somewhere !

Although not in the crazy deep south.

louisville, KY has some nice rooms. the obvious DCC and is very low cost in terms of real estate and state taxes
 
The best room in the South is here in Atlanta. It's The Pool Room in Duluth, GA (15 min. North of ATL). It has 20 9' GCIV's & the best table is the GCV w/ 4.25" pockets. All of them are covered by Mark Gregory at least every 6 months. There is plenty of action to go around be it: 9,8, or 1 pocket.

Lousiana

When I was in Shreveport, there seemed to be a ton of league play and a couple of nice room and at least two excellent cue makers, Schick and Mike Wheeler. Just my .02, but you also have the casinos to contend with.

amen to that. was just there last night (as i am almost every night) love that room, and that table is SICK!:thumbup:
 
Pool in the South

I wish I had picked the game back up while I lived in Atlanta for 13 years. There are quite a few nice rooms there.

Not that Im back in Huntsville AL and have picked the game back up. We have a few good rooms. A lot of good amatuer players here also.

how far is huntsville from auburn? my girl is from auburn and she wants to head over there for a weekend. we both shoot and i'm wondering if it's worth it to pack the cues.
 
Huntsville to Auburn

its about 3.5 hour drive from Huntsville to Auburn. Huntville is at the top of the state, Auburn is East of Montgomery

Huntsville is 100 Miles South of Nashville and less than 1.25 Hours from Chattanooga
