Hi,
I was hoping for some creative ideas as to how I can move a 3 piece 9ft table.
My pool table is currently installed in my basement on carpet which needs to be replaced. Under the carpet is a plywood subfloor and we will be replacing the carpet with laminate or engineered hardwood. As part of the carpet replacement, I also wanted to slide my table about 20 inches in one direction to have more space around all 4 sides.
I was curious if there was a way to lift one side of the pool table (either just a foot or one length) just enough to slide out the carpet that is underneath, with the hope that once all 4 feet are on the plywood subfloor, I can slide the table the 20 inches and then proceed to lift it in the same manner when it comes time to install the new flooring. My reserach leads me to believe that I will have no choice but to dismantle the table, however, I wanted some thoughts before attempting. The table currently isn't on wheels and I didn't feel confident putting it on dollies given it's a 3 piece table.
Any ideas?
Thanks so much!
