Hey Ray, It is hot & humid for maybe two months but not as bad as Florida. The thing about NC that is really special is the extended spring. It seems to last three to four months with some new tree or flowers blooming all the time. Add to that the hardwood trees that change color in the fall and you have a true four season climate with almost no winter. Hell when it snows they just wait for it to melt and everything is back to normal in a day or so. Being centrally located it's a couple hour drive to the beach or the mountains. I'll be down in Asheville visiting my 'not so little' girl in September and can't wait to see her. Asheville may be my favorite place in NC, it's really a special state with friendly folks from the coast to the mountains! I have gone fly fishing in the early morning, golfing in the afternoon and after dark played pool with some cold beers all in the same day!!!
