Mucci Originals Cue

In the early 1990's I purchase a Mucci Originals cue. I have hardly used it and am thinking about selling it. I cannot remember what I paid for it and have no idea what it might be worth today. Can anyone help me? I have a url set up so you can view the photographs of the cue. Thank you anyone if you can help.

Thank you for the information. I must say I am disappointed. In the early 90's I spent way too much money on things so I would have thought I spent more. Thank you again.

My quote is based on today's market.

If you wait long enough, it will sell for $200 on ebay as long as the butt is straight and the shaft is close. If you get lucky, you might get more.

I looked at your cue again. If you clean the ferrule and shape the tip like new, you probably can sell the cue as almost new and get $250 for it on ebay.

Ryan hit the nail on the head. That cue probably cost you about $175 then and as good of shape as it is in you could probably get around $200 for it today. Not many other used items would be worth more today than you paid for them 20 years ago.

And remember that today's dollar isn't valued the same.

The value of these cues is actually pretty strong.

Clean it up if you want to sell it. If it looks nice and you have good pics and description you will optimize an auction price.

Some people just expect too much as far as value from cues like this because they thought they bought a "custom" cue. Some cues have skyrocketed....like some Hueblers....but not these. It's a fairly plain mass produced cue.

However...the Meucci Originals still make great shooters along with the old McDermotts. The lower end ones can be some of the best values going for a shooter. I got my Meucci Original for $75.....hard to beat a deal like that.

I don't think you should be disappointed.

I understand that. A few years after he bought it, the cue would have only brought $75 to $100. So the value of it as a used cue has actually increased.

Yup. I was agreeing with you and reinforcing what you said, not contradicting or questioning in any way. They do have pretty strong value.

When we see some of the cues that have hit stratospheric prices we can lose perspective on cues like this one. It really does have a strong market value as you indicate.
