Well, it's quarter after 2 in the morning here and I just got back from shooting pool with Tony Zinzola in Yokohama. First off, I'd like to say thank you to Tony for coming out. Him and his wife are 2 of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet. The wives were playing on the table next to ours and like within 15 minutes or so they cut their table time and sat there and chirped back and forth for the rest of the evening. It's a testament to how nice his wife is because my wife is really shy and doesn't talk much to people she doesn't know. I guess they hit it off.
Ok, Tony and I started out with 9-ball. We played 2 sets racing to 5. I was shooting good but for some reason I couldn't make it past the 7 ball all damn night. If I had a shot at the beginning of the rack I'd run all the way up to the 7 and then dog it.
We moved over to 14.1 racing to 100 but time was drawing short for Tony to get the train home so we cut it down to 75 towards the end. Tony took the 14.1 with a final score of 66-55.....we had to go so we couldn't finish the game. He would have taken it though. I really liked the patterns he ran. I wish I could have gotten some of it on video. Granted, neither of us was running rack upon rack, but watching Tony shoot I could definitely see a difference than the way people I usually play against with shoot straight pool. Very enlightening.
Well, Tony, again, thanks for a great evening. I really enjoyed it. Next time you're over here we'll have to do it again....and I ain't missing no damn 7-balls. hehe!!!
