MURNAK Case just ordered

I just ordered a new Murnak 2x4 and during the order process Mr. Murnak told me that he now is able to make them lighter. Has anyone ordered or received any of the new lighter 2x4's. I ask what he was doing differently and he said it was a secret. Thanks in advance.

I just order one after feeling my freinds case with the new tubes, he had the Batman case made from Murnaks
And just sent it back to have the new tubes put in it and have the jump pocket made bigger so he could put the new Predator Air in it

When it came back it was about 1.6 lbs liter then before and it was lite before

I ordered mine about 3 weeks ago and can not wait to get it:) :cool:
 
Thanks for the reply. I really don't know what the Batman case looks like .. but I ordered the GL2501. With the turn style latch instead of the suitcase style latch. It has a little flare without going overboard...

This is my case, and it's great. Jim is GREAT! I have owned all the top cases and Jim's are hands down the best there is. Others call them selves custom case builders and that is not the truth. These other so call custom case makers can't or wont move their handle from one side to the other, or add a strap, or create pockets to a size you want. In my opinion they are only really good low production cases. That's right, i said it! PRODUCTIOIN with some tooling. Jim will do what ever you want, that is custom!!

My case was one of the first cases to receive the new liter tubes. Funny thing is i didn't think the old style was heavy. I guess i do more then lift beers. LOL. But the new tubes save lots of weight. It's between 4 and 5 lbs.

Anyhow, i can't say enough good things about Jim, his customer service, cases, and his ability to deliver exactly what you ask for.

He told me that he had been giving a time between 12 to 16 weeks .. but now the time is much less .. but I couldn't pin him down..

I do not like the key lock latch (like that is going to keep any one out)
I did get the turn latch

Order time
I just talked to him and was told it is started:rolleyes:, he will not give me a date but said "around the first of the year" "maybe sooner"
I guess that is better then it not even being started:confused:

My freind who disigned the Batman Case GL2129:D :cool: got his in about 3 1/2 weeks

What i love is that sweet James White cue you have there. He makes some of the best cues out there. One day i'll get my hands on one.

I have looked at most of the pictures and just love the design of some of the cases (of course the Batman case really caught my eye).
Can you tell me about the pockets since there are so many zippers (are there multiple small pockets)?

Some pockets are bigger then others. Jim can make anything you want, so you can choose the pocket you want. On my case it a small top pocket larger second pocket, then 3 and 4 are a lil bigger. Then you have the two side pockets. Really there is a lot of room in this case. I fit my wallet, cell phone keys and all my pool junk to go with me. Great Case!
