Murnak Road Trip

Ordered a new 4x8 from Jim Murnak a while back. Ordered with special configuration of the strap and handle for a left handed person, larger (deeper) pockets, vintage style, with engraving, towel ring .. and black shaded to reddish brown, allowing Jim to use artistic license and do what he wanted that looked best.

He had to build it twice..

When he ships, it comes in looking like it could stand a train wreck and survive. Foam collars, foam wrapped, packaging on top of packaging. Wellll UPS killed it. Bounced it so hard it was bent from the top down. Leather was creased right across the front. After battling with UPS, they finally paid. And Jim started over.

Start to finish, Jan to a week and a half ago, and two round trips from New York to So Fl. One and a half for the first case, then another one way to here for the second

Here it is. It was worth the wait. You, I, can not believe how much room is in this case. The side zipper, not the side zipper for the jump cue, the OTHER side zipper, COULD hold a change of clothes, shower shoes and shaving gear if I wanted. With everything my 3x6 Swift had in it, and another stick, it's lighter than my old case.

Enjoy the pics.

Welcome to the club. Nice case. I have my eye on vintage style soft case. I really like the pocket design on the vintage models. Those pockets hold everything you need and them some too. Nice case again.:D

I was amazed, I tell people put your hand in there ( in that long zippered side pocket, they put part of their hand in I go NOOOOO put YOUR HAND IN THERE!!!! and they are amazed at the room. The rest of them aint too shabby either :D

Thanks for the compliments to the lucky owner ( me).

I guess

You need to add that Murnak case to your signature below your name ... LOL
Nice case, and you are loaded for bear with that case!!! I never tire of looking at Murnak, or Justis cases. Both of them make some real good cases.

Very nice- if you get a chance bring it up to Beyond on thursday night so I can check it out.

Very nice looking design and the color combination came out very well.
Would love to see a picture of the inside of the case to see you the 4x8 pattern is organized.

What is Mr. Murnak's contact info? Anyone know how long the wait is on his cases? Thanks.

I'll try to get some today for you.:)

Awesome, awesome case. All the more reason to have a cue case section....I love cases as much as cues.

Jim is making me a case at the minute, something very special. I can't wait to see it.

I ordered a case December 21 and called to see how it was progressing and he had not started as of last week which is fine as I know he is extremely busy. He did not give me a delivery date and I can't wait to get it. I did get the charge on my card already though:D .
