My best friend and I are currently engaged in a race to 5,000.

this is the kind of thing that I would do just for fun. One of my friend keeps track of all games I have played with him. In almost 2 years we have played more than 2000 games but not as intense as 8 hours a day 5 days a week...just random games,
 
I can see doing something like that with one of my buddies, but there would have to be at least a few hundred on it !!!!

Here is the deal with that. I'm not a big gambler. In fact, I can name the number off times I've gambled in pool on one hand.

However, given the spirit of the competition, we have already promised a $20 prize to the winner. We've talked about it a little bit and it's possible that we may bump it to $1 for every game you lose by.

Pool isn't about money to either of us. He used to gamble a lot and he realized that he wasn't having fun with the game any more and stopped. We enjoy our time around a pool table together, and that is priceless to us.

Ok, I'm done being cheesy and corny now. LOL

Cool. Getting down for the cheddar isn't for everyone, no big deal.That is really nice. It sounds like you guys have a special friendship.

Between your mom, your wife, and your sister, I really don't have any additional time for rolling around scantily clad with other people.

We finally got out to play again last night. Score at this point is 257-247.

He is ahead and really took it to me last night. He was really shooting sharp and I wasn't playing at the top of my game at all. I had a lot of mental distraction last night due to some personal garbage that I'm going through. I rarely make excuses buy I really couldn't focus on my game to save my life.

Oh well, I've come back from bigger deficits, I'm not worried.

We are going to be putting up my Connelly Ultimate in the next week or two, so things should really start to take off in the next little while.

Nothing to be afraid of to be honest. We have almost nothing at stake.

Just a game between friends. A very long game.
