My cue collection has been stolen high reward

man losing granddads pocket watch has to be the worst, ya should of had it in your pocket with you!!!! i have my grandfathers purple heart, but i wished i had a pocket watch or knife, its that connection from the past!!!!! man was most of the cues dons ??? man you had alot of fire power, to bad you werent home when they came in, it might been their last robbery!!!!!!

As valuable as the total collection and the guns are in economic terms, the hardest to take has got to be having your grandfather's cue stolen. Best of luck getting that one back especially.

Pics please!! Ask everyone to only bump to top keep the pics posted we will bump them. I personally want nothing to do with the reward but if I see pics I will gladly REPOSESS them at no charge I am sure you are in alot of peoples prayers and hope you are returned the ring and watch especially and everything owed. When something like this happened to me one of my pals disapeared and I haven't seen him since!!!!!!!!!!! That was 10 years ago. Good Luck Sir Nick --- Good thing they took the guns because that will involve ATF and possibly the FBI and they usually get better results than local law enforcement!
 
Hopefully your collection was insured. Yes I know money can not replace some things, but it is a bummer to loose something of value, and not have it insured.

Hopefully the POS who took you stuff will get caught, and your property recovered.... Plus returned to you....

I share the sentiment with everyone else. Best of luck getting your stuff back and I hope you get to revel in the misery of the bas*ards that took em. I am personally sick and tired of the bleeding heart community. I hope you really hope you get your cues back all in one piece, and in better condition than before. Best of luck with that.
 
First of all i must say that this was a big time bad news, it's something that i'm running out of words to describe what i think about those persons doing acts like that.

There are a lot of good advices in this thread, both trying to find your cues back and also making it harder to happen again.

Most effective things goes (again) back to basics. Since very often thefts like that are "inside" jobs or at least well informed by someone who knows your collection and value of it. To avoid that is difficult, we can't force people not to talk even if it would be nice every now and then. BUT keeping our valuables in a place that is well locked and possibly even alarmed will give some safety. Also not to advertice loudly when leaving ones home for overnight.

And not to forget to be prepared for something to happen. Take good pictures of your valuables and keep those pics in different place than valuables that you don't loose it at the same time. Update your pic collection regulary and have a safe copies of that. Make a detailed list with values to go together with pics.

If the worst case scenario then happens and someone steel your valuables then is time to start using those tools mentioned above. Call the police, inform your insurance company and really talk with your neighbours and with every single little kid on your street. Someone most likely has seen something but just maybe not realize it at the first moment when they talk with cops. Informing places that might either be interested to by or have possible buyers as their customers within reasonable radius from your home is also good thing to do since very often that thief is trying to cash those things pretty quickly.

So there was not that new things in my post, just a summary of some good things to do and as i said there are a lot of good things in this whole thread.

Good luck keeping your things safe and when something happens good luck to get them back quickly in good condition.

Hope your PI is as good as Jim Rockford who alway solved cases. Also do the PI thing yourself, and CHECK Pawn Brokers, Bars, Pool Rooms, Swap Meets, Fla Markets, and let people know your are offing a REWARD Locally....:rolleyes:
 
Cues gone...

I told a friend of mine in Southern California about how I photo and weigh them, put some special markings on my cues, hopefully to find them later if they are stolen...HE marked and took photos of his favorite fancy Tad cue...it was stolen ...he notified the police ...they give a special case ID number ... he saw the cue about 3 years later in a bar..He called the police ...and ...HE got his cue back!!! only took a few months to get it back from the cops....

I would not have minded that it took the cops a few months to get the cue back to me, as I would have needed the few months to get out of jail for the battery charges that would have been against me!

just a suggestion you might want to try all the local bars talk to bartenders they see alot..also maybe flea markets for the cues and jewelery all they have to do is rent a space for a weekend and accept cash. as for the guns it might be a long shot but try gunbroker.com (its the ebay for guns) or even gunboards.com(the AZ for guns) I hope they catch those F**KER$ that robbed you. my best friend had over 5000.00 of stereo equipment stolen out of his car, my brothers car got broke in and 2000.00 tv stolen and another friends car stolen and striped 2 states away and they never caught them bastards.
 
It's probably too late, but huckster should've asked all the neighbors about any cars parked in his driveway while he was out. I agree with most others that it was most likely someone he knows well and the presence of that car didn't set off any bells with the neighbors.

When we go out of town and have to have someone over to feed the pets we have to let our neighbors know what cars to expect in our driveway so they don't call the cops!
