The cue laser I mounted doesn't seem to work and really hurts my eyes when I look at it. The salesman at Wal-mart said it would really help me get better. Am I using it correctly? Please help.

Maybe your just not getting down enough on your cue ... I am sold on my mine , Mossy Oak has done a excellent job and it leaves no marks on my cue when taken off ... Even brandishes my shaft for me when in use as long as I keep turning my cue and adjusting the laser site that is a selling aspect my salesman forgot to mention .. But he did meet me at the door and greeted me with a " hello welcome to Walmart ...My name is Johnny T may I help you today " ... And he knew what he was talking about also ... Thumbs up to Mossy Oak and Walmart where prices are falling every day ... And thanks to the job Johnny T is doing at the door and his helpfulness ...

The problem that I have is that the cue will not fit into the case with the laser mounted on it. This makes it hard to tune in before a match with limited green time. The other is that the batteries don't last long and some players get upset when you take time to change them.

I think the main problem here is you put the laser on backwards. The laser should point at the ball, not your eye.
Next time you go to Wally World, you won't be able to see the salesman coming due to the eye damage from this purchase.

Another thing might be the type of laser you are using. Instead of the Wal Mart El Cheapo, go find your local arms dealer and tell him you need a Militarry Grade laser that fits on your pool stick. Once installed, you should have no problem seeing the spot on the ball you are aiming at. Although after a second or less the spot will disappear, along with the rest of the ball, so shoot quick.
This is exactly the kind of thing I have been talking about....Improper application of equipment....the laser is designed to help you align you head and your cue therefore must be worn on your ear much like you may carry a pencil, advanced users put one on each ear and bracket the cue stick between the beams...I don't mean to be critical but you can't speak badly of training aids if you are not using them correctly. My next class will be on the ball bearing bridge tool and neoprene back hand glove.
I had a problem at first too so I went back to Wal-Mart and talked to JohnnyT again. He pointed out that my prescription glasses were not aligning properly to the Aiming Sure Shot -- Honing Optical Laser Eye-piece. He pranced me over to the optometrist who hooked me up with some glasses better suited for the system. I now see the light!
Sounds like you've only got one laser mounted, you're supposed to have two. :grin-square:

You do realize that a laser is a powerful tool I hope, what the Wal Mart guy may have failed to tell you is that if you are going to use mounted lasers for any significant periods of time and you hope to reproduce you will need to wear protection, I have available several lead impregnated undergarments for your protection.......I accept Pay Pal.
